Dyer-Cheben Wedding

Bailey Elizabeth Dyer and 2nd Lt. Landon Karl Cheben were married Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Lance Cunningham performed the ceremony. Organists were Greg Chesney of Cincinnati and Susan Brown Bandy of St. Louis, cousin of the bride. Cellist was Cadet Samuel Korom from West Point Military Academy.

Among the attendants of the couple were the bride's brothers, Adam Dyer of Pittsburgh, Pa. and N. Colin Dyer of Savannah, Ga. Kelly Augspurger, formerly of Cape Girardeau, served as Maid of Honor and Layne Finnegan and Holly Finnegan of Jackson, cousins of the bride, also served as attendants. Caroline Morris of Mt. Juliet, TN, also a cousin of the bride, served as an attendant. The ushers and saber bearers were classmates of Lt. Cheben at West Point Military Academy.
The groom's brother, Graham Cheben, was best man.

Mrs. Cheben is the daughter of Dan and Sara Stacy Dyer, formerly of Cape Girardeau, and the granddaughter of Jane Cooper Stacy of Cape Girardeau and Dr. Bill W. Stacy of Chattanooga, TN and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dyer of Nashville, Tennessee. She is the great granddaughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. A. B. Cooper of Charleston, MO. Lt. Cheben is the son of Mark and Cindy Cheben of Baltimore, Md.

The reception was held in the ballroom at Newport Aquarium, Newport, KY. On Sunday, following the wedding a Grandmother's Buffet was hosted at the Dyer Home in Loveland, Ohio by Jane Cooper Stacy and Frances Jones Dyer.

Mrs. Cheben received a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology with distinction in research from The Ohio State University on June 13, 2010. Lt. Cheben received a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from West Point Military Academy, New York on May 22, 2010, The couple will be stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama where he will be trained for helicopter flight.

The couple went to Hawaii for their honeymoon.
